White Sandy Beaches and Partying!

In 2016 Boracay Island was voted the most beautiful island in the world by Condé Nast.

Boracay Island is located off the northwest corner of Panay Island, and is part of the Western Visaya islands. The island has a total land area of approximately ten square kilometers. The main tourism beach is the White Beach which is about four kilometers long and has many resorts, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and other businesses.

The fastest way to Boracay is to fly from Manila to Caticlan Airport in Panay island. There are also many flights to Kalibo. However, travel time by bus from Kaibo to Caticlan is 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Flight time from Manila to Caticlan is approximately one hour. Once you arrive at the port you will take a traditional Bangka boat to Boracay Island. I suggest flying to Caticlan.  It will be worth your time!

bulabogbeach

The second most popular tourism beach located on the eastern side of Boracay is Bulabog Beach. From November to April it is the center of kite surfing and windsurfing.

Weather in Boracay is generally divided into two seasons. One is characterized by moderate temperatures, little or no rainfall and winds from the northeast. The other season is characterized by hot and humid weather, heavy rainfall, and winds from the west.

Many activities are available and include horseback riding, island hopping, scuba diving, diving helmet, snorkeling, windsurfing, paddle boarding, cliff diving, parasailing, banana boat riding, jet skiing, beach relaxation and more.

Large groups of tourists can be seen on the beach from all over the world.  You used to be able to get a massage right on the beach till late at night. In 2018 the Philippines government closed the island for a few months to clean the beaches. And in the process closed many businesses. However with all the activities available you will never get bored in Boracay!

flyfish

A popular activity is riding the Flyfish. This is an inflatable raft and is pulled by a speedboat. When the boat speeds up, the raft drifts vertically numerous times while the people riding on the raft hang on for their dear lives! It is a tiring activity. But if you are looking for excitement you will not get disappointed!

Experienced fire dancers usually perform in restaurants at night to amaze the tourists while they are eating a nice meal.

I stayed at the Henann Regency Resort and Spa on White Beach in the center of Station 2. The resort features 4 restaurants, 3 swimming pools, gym, business center, nightclub, jacuzzi, sauna and Kai Spa. The breakfast and dinner buffets were great! Wifi is free in the lobby. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Recommended.
